I’m so thankful for the times when the kiddos get along and play nice! My son was home last week for spring break. Yah… I thought I was going to lose my mind on more than a few occasions. She wants whatever he has, and he loves to torment her by grabbing away whatever she is playing with. Yelling, screaming and tears always follow. Two seconds later, they are hugging and laughing! Hmm…sibling love is a strange thing.
It’s thrilling to catch unpredictable moments, like little miss just popping out her cuteness from behind the door. One of the many reasons why I love photography.
I’m grateful for vibrant colors, being able to participate in The Love Of Color Week group and being inspired by the many wonderful creative ideas from awesome photographers.

Kristin had a great idea to get us into the spring spirit over on flickr. She started a group called For The Love of Color. I submitted the photo below for my participation. Not an easy shot to get with a 15 month old baby. In trying to explain to the munchkin to stand up on the books, I just got blank stares from her. After 5 tries, she finally stood up on the books instead of sitting on them.

Spring is a good time to freshness things up, shake things up and make changes. It was that time for this blog. I had mentioned a while back that I would add a third column to create more space for sidebar items. I have done that, and a few more changes. I hope you enjoy the new look!

O.k, these aren’t hilarious or funny outtakes. But they are shots that I did consider not worthy of showing. I’ve changed my mind. I now like them.
Little miss was teething like crazy that day. I wanted some stock photography portrait shots for istock.com. I didn’t submit this one because of the hand in the mouth, but it’s still a cute one to have in the family album.
For this shoot I wanted portraits of the little man lying on his stomach and hands under the chin. I did get some really nice ones of him posing for me. This is totally unposed, just him playing under the covers of the bed.
Yeah…little miss was really having a bad day. I couldn’t get any cute smiley shots that day, but isn’t she still cute even when she cries.

Little miss sunshine is only 5 weeks old here. I had just knitted her this cute pink hat. I decided to have a photo session with her on the bed wearing the hat. I got some of her cutest infant portrait shots during that session. But there were some funny captures too. Like the one below, too funny…it looks like she is saying, “oh, no!”
